La Bonne Vie!
This birthday celebration was an intimate dinner for the birthday boy’s closest friends, hosted at the family home overlooking a golf course. The theme was inspired by Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc—where old world glamour meets the Côte d’Azur in the South of France. The dinner menu featured all of his favorite dishes—from “caviar and potato chips” to hangar steak and an ice cream sundae bar to top it off.
We used the iconic circular life preservers as place cards, with matching letterpress menus. There were mother of pearl circular motifs on the votives and a dot pattern on the china, both inspired by the sea. We then mixed different hues of blue and gave a pop to the design with orange accents, bright white, classic pewter and natural wood. The florals were bright and full of depth and texture. Keeping with the blue and white palette, we used white garden roses, blue delphinium, white astilbe, cornflower, blue tweedia and forget-me-nots—all arranged in classic white porcelain urns.
