Iris and Rob always had their hearts set on a wedding in wine country, but unexpected circumstances suddenly changed their plans for their original venue. Fortunately, they found another perfect fit at Thomas Fogarty Winery, which provided a beautiful and organic backdrop to their intimate affair. The details of the day were inspired by Iris’ personal style — a striking mix of clean, modern, and refined. We blended masculine undertones using deep navy Heath ceramic plates and rich black hand-dipped candles, contrasted against airy, woven layers and delicate arrangements by Loop Flowers. Japanese sweet peas, hellebores, and garden roses brought texture to every table and served as a nod to Iris’ botanical wedding gown designed by Atelier Des Modistes.
When it came time for dinner, guests sat down to enjoy custom, multi-course menus that were carefully curated by the couple. Every course was paired with a different wine from the vineyard, and we chose simple, modern glassware that mirrored the flatware at each place setting. Woven dining chairs and basket-shaped lanterns matched the subtle woven motif of the couple’s wedding invitations, and we lit candles at different heights across all of the tables to give the space a cozy glow. To bring even more warmth to the setting, we added a woven sisal rug underneath the lounge furniture. It was a relaxed, elegant, and inviting event, focused on amazing food and the meaningful presence of the people we love most.
